Return Window & Eligibility

We accept returns and exchanges within 14 days of the purchase date for in-store purchases or the delivery date for online orders. We offer a longer window than many jewelry stores because customers should have time to make sure they love what they bought.

Eligible items must be:

  • Unworn and unaltered
  • In original condition
  • Returned with original packaging, jewelry box, certificate of authenticity, and included materials
  • Returned with proof of purchase or order confirmation

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale:

  • Custom and engraved pieces
  • Personalized or made-to-order pieces
  • Resized rings
  • Repaired or altered items
  • Items showing wear, scratches, damage, or use
  • Items returned after the 14-day window

How to Return - In-Store or by Mail

  1. 01 Contact Us First

    Call or text (631) 264-6610 or email us before sending anything back.

  2. 02 Return the Item

    Bring it in-store or ship it back insured with tracking to:
    494 Oak St, Copiague, NY 11726

  3. 03 Get Refunded

    Approved returns are refunded to the original payment method within 3-5 business days.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and must ship items fully insured with tracking. Hands of Gold is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.

Refunds & Exchanges

Once the item is received and inspected, Hands of Gold will notify the customer of approval status.

Approved returns may receive:

  • Full refund to the original payment method within 3-5 business days
  • Exchange for a different size, length, or karat, with price difference applied if needed
  • Store credit if requested
  • No restocking fees

All refunds are issued at the original purchase price, not the current gold spot price at the time of return.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If a customer receives an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, Hands of Gold will make it right immediately. Customer should contact us within 48 hours of receiving the order with a photo of the issue.

  • Hands of Gold covers return shipping for defective or incorrect items
  • Customer may choose replacement or refund
  • Priority handling whenever possible

Affirm & Financing Returns

If a customer financed through Affirm, the return works the same way. Once approved and processed, Affirm is notified and the loan is adjusted or cancelled.

Any interest already paid to Affirm may not be refundable and is governed by the Affirm loan agreement.
